everyone in the office is coming down with the flu. and the main cover story on Chinese film has been ruled as "inappropriate" by the censor. This is not such a good thing as print deadline was yesterday and the editor is off sick. Good ol' China!

My arms and shoulders hurt from carrying 100 plus copies of the Owl from Hollywell street to Worcester jcr. Pathetic. Have also become addicted to smoothies - the lazy girl's way of getting her daily fruit portions. Tonight holds the promise of alcohol. Generally speaking, life is good...but i feel...empty.

having nearly thrown away my cereal-weird-man-yoga cd when i threw away the box, i seem to have managed to dispose of it a second time without realising. Inconceivable! i suppose we were never meant to be....in other news, i have been holding my own private aerobics sessions in my room as it isnt on this term. The class is pretty crap, but seeing as im both teacher and pupil i cant really complain.

I love christmas! despite the crap telly and irritating jingles and total lack of snow (where I live anyway) and also despite coming down with the flu on christmas eve. yes indeed! ill over christmas! my timing is impeccable...shnarf, although it does mean that i have an excuse for lounging around and making demands hehe. the whole family has been living off bananas for the past few days as my mum (no doubt influenced by the christmas eve shopping madness, in which despite the fact that shops are only closed for two days, everyone goes to the supermarket with the desperate air of people facing imminent starvation and food rationing) went shopping and came back with the enire contents of sainsburys...including about 40 bananas. hmm, festive! right, think am going to make myself some honey and lemon in a bid to regain respiratory functions in my nasal passages...

Really happy this morning as alice sent me a compilation cd of some groovy rnb/hip hop tunes, so naturally put it on full blast in the kitchen while making myself some toast and tea, at the same time dancing around like a total loon with the reckless abondon of someone who knows she is unwatched in an empty house...except that i was not unwatched. Turned around toast in mouth, mid booty-shaking to see the gardeners looking at me through the (large) window, expressions of extreme amusement and horror fixed upon their faces. NOOOO! At which point i froze and looked at them looking at me. Dilemma: do i drop to the floor and crawl out of the kitchen, thus admitting that i am totally mortified and showing my discomfort....OR do i carry on as if the situation is all very funny, and act as if everyone grinds along to dirty beats and makes breakfast while wearing a too small aged 9-10 minnie mouse pajama top, and wholly embarrassing pants with the word 'cheeky' plastered on the rear in neon pink? hmm. well i chose to combine the two...smiled and waved and carried on half heartedly dancing while making way slowly to kitchen door, positively sprinting upstairs once through. Spent the rest of the morning hiding on bedroom floor while spying outside window until the gardeners packed up and left. i think i should have slept in this morning...

i never thought i'd say this, but i didnt have a good day shopping! no indeed, the streets were teeming with last-minute shoppers and tourists and religious nuts, and i couldnt find anything i wanted, and then it started raining! arrrggghhhhh! i now sympathise with males.
